How to Assemble IKEA TEODORES Chair

What you need
Tools
- Phillips screwdriver
- Allen key (included)
You’ll need: a Phillips screwdriver and scissors. The two Allen keys are included.

Step-by-step assembly
Step 1
Lay both frames down and click an insert onto each back post.
The inserts come joined — cut them apart with scissors first.
Step 2
Stand the two frames up.

Screw 4 threaded spacers (10117292) into the inserts.
Use Allen key 108490. 2 in each frame, turned in all the way.

Lower the backrest onto the left frame.
Step 5 · manual step 4
Push the right frame into the backrest.
The spacers slide into the channel in the side of the backrest.
Step 6 · manual step 5
Push the back crossbar up and fit 2 bolts (100104) by hand.
Don’t tighten yet — leave a small gap under the heads.
Step 7 · manual step 6
Do the same at the front: crossbar up, 2 bolts (100104).
Again, not fully tightened yet.
Step 8 · manual step 7
Fix the backrest with 2 screws (109544) from behind.
Use the long 109544 screws, not 121760. No power drill.
Step 9 · manual step 8
Now tighten all 4 bolts with Allen key 100001.
The heads must sit flush — no gap.
Step 10 · manual step 9
Hook the back of the seat under the backrest.
Slide it in from the front, tilted up.
Step 11 · manual step 10
Press the front of the seat down until the 4 pegs click in.
Hold the backrest with one hand.
Step 12 · manual step 11
Turn the chair over onto a table, seat down.
Step 13 · manual step 11
Fit 4 plastic sleeves (139369) and 4 screws (121760).
Use the Phillips screwdriver by hand — no power drill.
Step 14 · manual step 11
Turn the chair upright.
Tips & safety
- Check the chair stands steady. All four feet must touch the floor — it should not rock (manual, step 8).
