How to Assemble IKEA MARIUS Stool

What you need
Tools
- Phillips screwdriver
- Spanner (included)
You’ll need: a Phillips screwdriver. The spanner is included.

Step-by-step assembly
Step 1
Cross the two leg frames and push the bolt (10004961) through.
The square neck fits the square hole — the round head must sit flat.
Step 2 · manual step 1
Screw on the nut (104875) from below with the spanner.
Only snug for now — it is tightened fully in step 3.
Step 3 · manual step 2
Lay the seat upside down. Place the legs on it, upside down too.
Step 4 · manual step 2
Fit 4 spacers and 4 screws (109566), in the order 1–4.
Use the screwdriver by hand — no power drill.
Step 5 · manual step 3
Now tighten the nut firmly with the spanner (108184).
Step 6 · manual step 3
Turn the stool the right way up.
Tips & safety
- Legs spreading over time? Turn the stool over and tighten the nut again with the spanner (108184).
- Maximum load 110 kg (242.5 lb). Don’t stand on the stool.
