How to Assemble IKEA BEKVÄM Step Stool

What you need
Tools
- Allen key (included)
You’ll need: the Allen key (100092) and the key handle (121030).

Step-by-step assembly
Step 1
Bolt the two lower rails to one side frame.
The rail with the label goes at the front. 2 bolts — don’t tighten them fully yet.
Step 2
Bolt the two upper rails on the same way.
The rail with the warning labels goes at the front, labels facing out. Don’t tighten fully yet.
Step 3
Push 2 dowels into the ends of the lower step.
Then slide the step in until its dowel goes into the side frame.
Step 4
Fit the second side frame and fix it with 4 bolts.
Rails and dowel go into its holes. Don’t tighten fully yet.
Step 5
Turn the stool upside down onto the top step.
Lay the top step face down first. Fix it with 3 bolts (105111) and the Allen key.

Turn the stool the right way up.

Stand it on the floor and press down on the top step.
All four legs must touch the floor — it must not wobble.
Step 8 · manual step 7
Now tighten all 8 bolts firmly.
Use the Allen key in the key handle (121030).
Tips & safety
- Mind the labels on the front rails. The manual points them out once the stool is finished — read them before use.
