How to Assemble IKEA EKET Cabinet with 2 Doors and Shelf

Step-by-step assembly

1. 

   Step 1

   Sort the four frame panels.

   Two have pegs, two have keyhole slots. The panel marked 1 is the top.

   Step 2

   Screw 2 push-openers (139468) to the top panel, 2 screws (108444) each.

   Then push a plunger (139467) into each housing until it clicks.

3.

   Stand the top panel on edge and slide the side panels down onto it.

   The pegs drop into the keyhole slots (3 per joint) — press down firmly.

   Unfold the back panel and slide it into the grooves.

   Push it all the way in, up to the top panel.

   Slide the bottom panel down to close the frame, then stand it upright.

   Panel 1 is at the top. Check the back sits fully in the bottom groove.

   Push the back panel down if needed.

   Fit 12 clips (10093081) around the back panel.

   Start at the bottom centre. Press a wedge (10093082) into each clip.

   Fit legs or another base — follow its own manual.

   Legs and suspension rail are sold separately.

   Press 2 wall connectors (141413) into the back edges.

   Then drill with the Ø 8 mm (5/16") bit at each connector, as shown in step 12.

    Turn a knob (141414) onto each connector.

    Turn it clockwise.

    Move the cabinet to the wall.

    Turn both knobs until they touch the wall, clear of the skirting board.

    Fix the cabinet to the wall through 2 plates (152651).

    Wall screws are not included. Then turn a cover cap (152650) onto each plate.

    Push in 4 shelf pins (131372) and lay the shelf on them.

    Check the shelf edge faces the right way (manual step 18).

    Press 4 hinge bushings (10119600) into the top and bottom.

    Then click the 4 hinge arms (10119658/10119673) into them.

    Screw a washer (101313) and screw (108444) into each door.

    Then stick on 2 bumpers from sheet 152470.

    Push the hinge pins into each door: 139477 on top, 133127 below.

    Set each door onto its lower hinge arm, then click the top arm over the pin.
