How to Assemble IKEA BRIMNES Cabinet with Doors

Step-by-step assembly

1. 

   Step 1

   Screw a bracket (115753) onto each side panel.

   2 screws (100347) each — not the 113287 screws.

   Step 2

   Screw the 4 hinge plates (117878) onto the side panels.

   2 screws (113287) per plate.

3. 

   Step 3

   Screw 6 cam bolts (118331) into the side panels by hand.

   3 in each side, at the bottom end.

   Step 4

   Push 4 dowels into the bottom panel and fit it to one side.

   Stand the side panel on its front edge.

   Step 5

   Insert 2 cam locks and turn them clockwise to lock.

   Use a flat-head screwdriver.

   Fit the top rail and the plinth to the side panel.

   Push 2 dowels (101345) into each first.

   Lock the plinth with 1 cam lock.

   Turn it clockwise.

   Fit the second side panel onto the dowels and bolts.

    Push 4 dowels into the side panels and fit the top.

    Insert 4 cam locks and turn them clockwise.

    Lay the back panel on and nail it down.

    Line it up with the edges first. Hold the nails (101221) in the nail guide (105494).

    Tap the 4 feet (158568) into the bottom edges of the sides.

    Use a hammer.

    Tip the cabinet upright and turn it around.

    Fix the cabinet to the wall with the 2 wall fittings.

    Mark through the brackets, fit screws suited to your wall (not included), hook on the plates (103693), then snap on the covers.

    Screw 2 hinges (117877) onto each door.

    Doors face-down. 2 screws (113287) per hinge.

    Clip the door hinges onto the hinge plates.

    Then tighten the screw on each hinge.

    Screw a handle onto each door.

    Press 2 cover caps into the holes in the bottom panel.

    The bag (344833) holds two colours — use the matching pair.

    4 per shelf, at the heights you want.

    Stick the 4 bumpers (107091) on, then close the doors.
