How to Assemble IKEA TROFAST Frame

- Phillips screwdriver
- Allen key (included)
You’ll need: a Phillips screwdriver. The Allen key is included.

Step-by-step assembly
Step 1
Push 4 long dowels (101354) into the short strips, fit to a divider.
Use the long dowels here — not the short 101350 ones.
Step 2
Add 4 more long dowels and fit the second divider.
Step 3
Push 4 dowels (101350) into the holes in the long panel.
This panel becomes the top — the frame is built upside down.

Lower the dividers onto the dowels.

Slide the 4 outer strips in against the dividers.

Push 4 dowels (101350) into the dividers and place the next panel on top.
This panel becomes the bottom.

Fix the panel to the dividers with 4 screws (100229).
Tighten with the Allen key.

Push 4 dowels (101350) into the panel and press the 2 long strips on.
Step 9 · manual step 8
Push 12 dowels (101350) into the ends and fit the first side panel.
Step 10 · manual step 9
Fix the side with 6 screws (100229) and the Allen key.

Push 12 dowels (101350) into the other ends and fit the second side.
Step 12 · manual step 11
Fix the second side with 6 screws (100229).
Tighten with the Allen key.

Turn the frame the right way up.
Step 14 · manual step 12
Screw on the box rails (120056), 1 screw (100349) each.
Phillips screwdriver. 3 rails on each wall of each compartment.

Do the same in the other two compartments — 18 rails in all.
Tips & safety
- Assemble on a soft surface. The manual shows working on a rug so the panels don’t get damaged.
- The rails hold TROFAST storage boxes. Boxes are sold separately.
