How to Assemble IKEA SANDSBERG Table

Step-by-step assembly
Step 1
Lay the tabletop face-down on a rug.
A soft surface keeps the top from getting scratched.
Step 2 · manual step 1
Place the underframe on the underside of the tabletop.
The frame sits inside the edges of the top, screw holes facing up.
Step 3 · manual step 2
Fit a corner bracket (131337) into the slots in a corner.
Hook one end into its slot, then swing the other end in.
Step 4 · manual step 2
Fit the other 3 brackets the same way.

Screw the frame to the tabletop with 10 screws (100241).
Use the Allen key.

Stand a leg in each corner of the frame.
Each leg goes into the corner, behind the bracket.
Step 7 · manual step 4
Put a washer (100843) on a bolt (131128) and screw it into the leg.
Through the hole in the bracket, turned in with the open end of the spanner. Repeat on all 4 legs.
Step 8 · manual step 5
Tighten all 4 bolts firmly with the ring end of the spanner.
Step 9
Turn the table over onto its legs.
Tips & safety
- Re-tighten the screws after about two weeks. For extra stability — then check them a couple of times a year (manual, p. 2).
- Work on a soft surface. Assemble on a rug or the flattened box so the tabletop doesn’t get scratched.
