How to Assemble IKEA NORDEN Gateleg Table

Step-by-step assembly

1. 

   Step 1

   Push 8 dowels (101352) into the two cross blocks.

   Then join the two side frames onto the blocks.

2. 

   Step 2

   Screw the 2 metal plates (120139) onto the top of the frames.

   2 screws (110733) per plate, in the round holes — not the slots.

3. 

   Step 3

   Lay the three top panels face-down. Screw on the 2 blocks.

   2 screws (117494) per block, on the underside of each leaf.

4. 

   Step 4

   Join the leaves to the centre panel with 4 hinges (10005601).

   8 screws (110733) per hinge — 32 in total.

5. 

   Step 5

   Turn the frame upside down.

   Push 4 barrel nuts (121121) into the two end rails.

6.

   Fit the end rails between the legs and tighten 4 bolts (105330).

   Use the Allen key through the legs into the barrel nuts.

   Place the frame onto the centre of the top.

   Screw the plates to the top: 6 screws (110733) through the plates.

   Tap the 4 glides (107271) into the ends of the legs.

   Tap the 2 glides (156508) into the gate legs.

    Fold both leaves up, then turn the table over.

    Get help — tip it onto its side, then onto its legs.

    Drawers: fit the back between the two sides.

    Hammer in 4 connectors (116546).

    Slide in the bottom, fit the front and hammer in 4 more.

    The finger notch is at the top of the front.

    Build all 6 drawers the same way.

    8 connectors (116546) per drawer.

    Slide the drawers in — 3 from each side.

    Raise a leaf and swing the gate leg out under it.

    The pin under the leaf goes into the hole on top of the gate leg. One leaf up: 89 cm.

    Do the same on the other side.

    Both leaves up: 152 cm.

    Need less space? Fold a leaf down: 89 cm.

    Swing the gate leg back in first, then lower the leaf. Both down: 26 cm.
