How to Assemble IKEA BRIMNES Daybed Frame with 2 Drawers

Step-by-step assembly

1. 

   Step 1 · manual step 1–2

   Section 1 · pull-out bed. 12 dowels, then 7 cam bolts.

   Dowels (101345) in the two end panels, cam bolts (118331) in the long panel.

   Screw the slat rail (112976) along the long panel.

   8 screws (105307) — not 102138 or 100372.

   Stand both end panels up on the long panel. Lock 4 cam locks.

   Cam locks 119030. Put 4 more into the other ends — don’t turn those yet.

   Screw the drawer runners (139505) onto the 3 beams.

   Mind CR / CL. 2 go on with spacers (110646) + screws 102138, 2 with screws 100372.

   Screw 2 castors (111401) under each beam, turn them over.

   12 screws (109567). Then push 12 dowels (101345) into the beam ends.

   Stand the 3 beams up on the long panel. Lock 3 cam locks.

   Cam locks 119030 — turn them clockwise with the flat screwdriver.

   Face frame: 7 cam bolts (118331), then the second slat rail.

   The rail (112976) takes 8 screws (105307).

   Turn the face frame over onto the unit. Lock the cam locks.

   Turn the 4 in the end panels, then add and turn 3 more (119030) in the beams.

   Screw the two outer beams to the end panels.

   6 long screws (109542), 3 per side.

    Screw 3 of the 12 shorter slats onto the rails.

    6 screws (105307). The 13 longer slats are for the frame.

    Stand the pull-out bed up. Pin the other 9 slats and lay them in.

    18 pins (110525) go into the holes in the slat rails.

    Section 2 · frame. 4 dowels in the back panel, 4 bolts in the ends.

    Dowels 101359; screw the bolts (114671) in by hand.

    Fit 4 connectors (114670), join the panels, tighten.

    Tighten the connectors with the Allen key 100049 in the order shown in the manual.

    Screw on 2 brackets (130485) and hang the front bar in them.

    Brackets: 105307. Bar (112978): 2 screws 105163 + connectors 100602 — Allen key 108490.

    Screw a bracket (123660) onto 2 of the long slats.

    2 screws (100372) per bracket — not 105307 or 105163.

    Lay the frame on its back. Fit the 2 slats at the ends.

    4 screws (105307): 2 into the back rail, 2 into the front bar.

    Tap 4 glides (130787) into the end panels with the hammer.

    Push a pin (110525) into 11 slats. Fit them, 11 screws (105307).

    The pins go into the back rail, the screws into the front bar.

    Lift the frame over the pull-out bed and lower it down.

    Leave a small gap under the screw head. Then slide the bottom in.
